Mathieu Knipping

Mathieu Knipping has extensive experience in the self-storage industry, currently serving as Market/Country Manager for Shurgard Self-Storage since June 2005. In this role, Mathieu leads a team of nine district managers and two senior district managers, overseeing 62 locations across the Netherlands. Prior to this position, Mathieu was a Senior District Manager, managing four districts and mentoring new district managers. Mathieu also contributed to the Netherlands Self Storage Association as Treasurer and ad interim chairman, while organizing member meetings and participating in certification projects. Early career experience includes roles as District Manager at Vihamij Handel B.V. and Bo^Rent. Mathieu holds an MBA from Business School Nederland, earned between 2013 and 2016, and possesses earlier educational qualifications from MDGO obtained from 1984 to 1987.
