Jiong Yu

Jiong Yu is a seasoned professional in the polymer and chemical industries with extensive experience in business development and technical services. Currently serving as a Senior Manager in New Business Development at SI Group since October 2018, Jiong Yu previously held significant positions at Addivant, where responsibilities included leading the Global Weston 705 Technical Service Group and managing business development initiatives across APAC and North America. Jiong Yu also contributed to the establishment of the first plant in China for Chemtura AO-UV/Addivant and supervised various R&D collaborations with Chinese universities. Prior roles include Staff Scientist and Senior Staff Scientist at Ciba/BASF, focusing on resin design for rotomolding applications, and Senior Scientist at Ciba, where Jiong Yu directed global initiatives in the rotomolding sector. Earlier career experiences include a Technical and Sales Representative position at EPC Europe GmbH, supporting PET and Nylon end users in China. Jiong Yu earned a Ph.D. in Polymers from Case Western Reserve University between 2000 and 2005.
