Joel Gordan has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Joel started their career in 2000 at Tate & Lyle as a Production Engineer/Supervisor. Joel then moved on to Millennium Inorganic Chemicals, where they held roles as a Manufacturing Engineer and later as a Process Engineer. In 2005, they joined LyondellBasell as a Process Engineer.
From 2008 to 2018, Joel worked at INEOS Pigments USA, where they held various roles including Senior Process Engineer, Lead Process Engineer, and Process Engineering Manager/PSM Lead. In these roles, they led a team of process engineers and PSM specialists, provided technical support for operations and capital projects, and spearheaded continuous improvement initiatives in process safety performance.
Joel joined BASF in 2018 as a Process Technology Manager, where they remained until 2022. Their responsibilities included managing process technology and overseeing optimization initiatives.
Currently, Joel is the Director of Engineering Process Improvement at SI Group, a position they assumed in 2022.
Joel Gordon received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, completing their studies from 1995 to 2000.
