Bart McGlothin

Bart McGlothin is an accomplished technology professional with extensive experience in cybersecurity and solution architecture. Currently serving as Chief Technologist and Architect at CipherEx, Bart focuses on addressing customers' cybersecurity challenges and developing repeatable solutions for small and medium businesses. Previously, during a 13-year tenure at Cisco Systems, Bart held various roles including Senior Solutions Architect and Retail Solution Architect, where Bart developed security solutions for diverse industries and co-created Cisco's Security Reference Architecture (SAFE). Bart's expertise in the retail sector is underscored by leadership roles with the Object Management Group's Retail Domain Task Force and the National Retail Federation's Tech Council. With foundational experience as Chief Architect at Safeway and Lead Design Engineer at AT&T, Bart has a proven track record in designing and implementing large-scale network and security architectures.
