Pieter Henning has a diverse work experience in the finance industry. Pieter started their career at KPMG South Africa as an Audit Manager, working with major clients in the mining sector. Pieter then joined Western Areas Limited as a Financial Manager and CFO, where they became a member of the executive committee. After that, they worked at GOLD FIELDS as a Manager in Corporate Finance, involved in the unbundling of Sibanye Gold Limited. Pieter also served as a Non-Executive Director at Rand Refinery, representing Sibanye Gold Ltd's shareholding. Currently, Pieter is working at Sibanye-Stillwater, where they held various roles, including Senior Vice President of Finance and CFO for the Southern Africa Region. Throughout their career, Pieter Henning has gained experience in corporate finance, financial reporting, acquisitions, valuations, and governance.

Pieter Henning attended Grey College from 1991 to 1995. Pieter then pursued a Bachelor of Commerce Honours degree in Accounting from North-West University / Noordwes-Universiteit from 1996 to 1999. Finally, from 2000 to 2001, Pieter Henning enrolled in SAICA and obtained their CA(SA) degree in Accounting.
