William Taylor has a diverse and extensive work experience in the mining industry. William has held various senior leadership positions at different companies over the years. At Sibanye-Stillwater, they served as the Executive Vice President for Technical Services Southern Africa and Global Group Head Safety and Health. In this role, they played a critical role in improving the safety performance of the company's operations. Prior to this, they were the Senior Vice President for Group Health and Safety, where they focused on achieving zero harm and zero fatalities. William also served as the Senior Vice President for Group Technical Mining, where they led mining enterprise integration and digitization projects. Before joining Sibanye-Stillwater, they held positions at Atomatic Chrome, where they were a Board Member, and Anglo American, where they served as a Senior General Manager, Chief Consulting Mining Engineer, Executive Safety Advisor, and General Manager. Additionally, they were a Board Member at Dikuno tsa Sechaba Trust. William began their career at Rand Mines, where they held various positions and gained experience in different mining methods.
William Taylor has a Bachelor's degree in Mining Technology from the University of Johannesburg, which they obtained in 2003. William also completed a National Higher Diploma in Metalliferous Mining from Technikon Witwatersrand between 1986 and 1990. In addition, they attended the Graduate School of Business - University of Cape Town in 2006, where they completed an Executive Leadership Program in Organizational Leadership. Lastly, in 2008-2009, they attended the GIBS Business School (Gordon Institute of Business Science) and obtained a Senior Leadership program degree in Business/Managerial Economics.
