Chester Carmer

Chester Carmer has a diverse work experience in software engineering and development. Chester is currently working as a Staff Engineer at Sibi since February 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Synapse Studios as a Software Architect from October 2020 to February 2022, where they also served as a Senior Developer from June 2019 to October 2020.

Before their time at Synapse Studios, Chester worked as a Teaching Assistant for the Web Development Bootcamp at the University of Arizona from August 2019 to October 2019. Chester gained significant experience in the industry during their time at Intel Corporation, where they held multiple roles. Chester worked as an IT Software Development Engineer from February 2019 to June 2019, and as a Software Engineer from December 2015 to February 2019. As a Software Engineer, they were involved in full-stack web application architecture and development, utilizing technologies such as Angular, Sails.js, Ubuntu, and Oracle database. Chester also worked as a Technical Intern at Intel Corporation, where they designed and developed an issue tracking and shift-to-shift passdown system using Ruby on Rails. Additionally, they created various factory data visualization tools using Knockout.js, VBScript, and SQL.

Chester started their career as an intern at AutoMon in May 2014. During this internship, they worked in an agile software development team, fixing bugs in an enterprise web application built in KnockoutJS and .NET.

Chester Carmer completed their education from various universities. Chester began their academic journey at the University of Oregon from 2007 to 2011, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science with a focus in Life Sciences. Later, from 2012 to 2015, they attended Arizona State University and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. Finally, from 2017 to 2019, they returned to Arizona State University to pursue a Master of Science in Engineering (MSE) with a specialization in Software Engineering.
