Paddy Shea

Instructional Coach/School Partnerships at Sibme

Paddy Shea has over a decade of work experience in various roles. In 2011, Shea was a Fulbright Scholar at Gwangju High School, where they studied the Korean concept of han and published several articles on the topic. From 2007 to 2011, Shea was a General Assignment Reporter at the Boston Globe, where they wrote for several sections of the paper. In 2013, Shea joined CONEY ISLAND PREPARATORY PUBLIC CHARTER SCHOOL as the Grade Team Leader and Lead Planner, where they chaired the Writing Committee, coordinated whole-staff professional development, and wrote assessments, units, and lesson plans. In 2015, Shea was a Teacher at KIPP NYC. From 2016 to 2020, Shea was an Instructional Leader at South Bronx Community Charter High School and Training Academy Director at The New Teacher Project. In 2021, Shea became the Director of Training at CareerWise New York and in 2022, Shea took on the role of Instructional Coach/School Partnerships at Sibme.

Paddy Shea obtained a Master's degree in Education from Delta State University between 2009 and 2010. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Print and Multimedia Journalism from Emerson College between 2006 and 2009. Additionally, they hold a Teacher's License in the state of Arkansas from the Arkansas Department of Education.
