Alanna Smart is an Embedded Intelligence Analyst at Sibylline Ltd, providing advice on political and security risks for a global pharmaceutical client since April 2023. Previously, Alanna worked as a Telephone Interviewer at IFF Research, conducting research on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic for UK governmental departments. Alanna gained research experience as an Assistant and Intern at the Department of Peace and Conflict Research, Uppsala University, examining mediation in conflicts and various projects related to civil unrest and peacekeeping. Alanna has also held roles at Pax et Bellum Journal as an Editor, and in different capacities at Transparency International, All Women's Action Society, and Akram Khan Dance Company. Alanna holds a Master of Social Science in Peace and Conflict Studies from Uppsala University and a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from Durham University.
