Markus Dambacher is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in machine vision and radiation detection systems. Since July 2014, Markus has worked at SICK as a Process & Project Manager, having previously held positions as a Project Manager and Development Engineer. Prior to SICK, Markus served as a Senior Scientist at X-ray Imaging Europe from September 2012 to June 2014, focusing on gamma-ray detection systems for surveillance and medical use. Earlier in Markus's career, experience includes roles as a PhD student at the Freiburg Materials Research Center, where development of a digital spectroscopic system for environmental radioactivity monitoring was undertaken, and as a Student Assistant involved in semiconductor characterization. Markus completed a PhD in Earth Sciences and holds a Diploma in Physics from the University of Freiburg.
