Richard Francis

Richard Francis is an experienced executive in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors, currently serving as President and Chief Executive Officer of Teva Pharmaceuticals since January 2023. Prior to this role, Richard held multiple leadership positions, including Chief Executive Officer at Forcefield Therapeutics and Purespring Therapeutics, where innovative therapeutic approaches were developed for heart function preservation and kidney diseases, respectively. Richard’s extensive background also includes significant tenures at Sandoz as Division Head and CEO and at Biogen in various senior roles, including President and SVP Biogen US. Richard began a career in marketing at Sanofi before advancing to global marketing and commercial strategy positions. Richard holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The Manchester Metropolitan University.
