Francesca Acerra

Francesca Acerra, PhD, has extensive experience in software engineering, particularly in the development of embedded and real-time systems across various industries. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at SICPA since July 2010, Francesca specializes in C/C++ programming on Linux and Windows platforms, focusing on industrial automation and the creation of high-performance algorithms and user interfaces. Previous roles include software engineering positions at ElsagDatamat, Centro di Ricerca ARCES - Università di Bologna, and OCEM SpA, where Francesca developed software for defense applications, firmware for vehicular surveillance, and real-time embedded software for airport systems. Francesca has also contributed to scientific data analysis for the Agenzia Spaziale Italiana and has extensive academic qualifications, holding multiple PhDs in Neurophysiology and Neuroscience, alongside a Master's degree in Physics.
