Jose Maria Figueres Olsen

Jose Maria Figueres Olsen is a seasoned leader with extensive experience in various sectors, currently serving as Executive President for Latin America at SICPA since July 2022 and Co-Chairman at TOJOY Holding Group since June 2018. Figueres Olsen founded and presided over Vía Costarricense - Proyecto País, a civil society think tank, from July 2012 to August 2022. Previous roles include Chairman of BetaAngels Management LLC, where strategic investments were made in technology, and leadership positions at Global Ocean Commission and Carbon War Room, focusing on sustainable practices and carbon emission reduction. Additional contributions include chairing the Global Fairness Initiative and co-founding La Red Innova, which connects entrepreneurs in the Internet and IT sectors. Figueres Olsen holds a BS in Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and an MPA in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School.
