Marek Retelski

Marek Retelski has extensive work experience in various roles and industries. Marek is currently working at SICPA as an Area Business Director since October 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Business Development Director at the same company starting from February 2021. Marek also served as a Senior Legal Counsel and Regional Counsel at SICPA from October 2020 to February 2021 and from July 2019 to October 2020, respectively.

Before joining SICPA, Marek worked at Swiss Re as a Legal Counsel for Reinsurance EMEA from September 2018 to May 2019.

Marek also gained professional experience at Global Transit Organisation (GTO) as a Senior Policy Advisor from April 2016 to September 2018.

Marek Retelski has a long history with the International Road Transport Union (IRU), where they held various positions. Marek served as the Deputy Secretary General from June 2015 to January 2016 and the Director of TIR Transit and Trade Facilitation from January 2010 to July 2015.

Earlier in their career, they worked at Vestergaard as a Legal Coordinator from February 2009 to December 2009.

Before joining Vestergaard, they held several positions at IRU, including Deputy Head of TIR System and Head of TIR guarantee chain management from April 2007 to October 2008, Head of TIR Claims and Legal Affairs from January 2005 to April 2007, Deputy Head of TIR Claims and Legal Affairs from November 2003 to December 2004, and Legal Advisor from January 2001 to October 2003.

Throughout their career, Marek Retelski has gained valuable experience in areas such as business development, legal counsel, policy advising, and international trade facilitation.

From 1996 to 2000, Marek Retelski attended the University of Lausanne - UNIL, where they pursued a Master's degree in Law.
