Vincent Ruffieux

Vincent Ruffieux has extensive experience in the field of chemistry and intellectual property, currently serving in the Technology Portfolio Protection group at SICPA since June 2013, where responsibilities include facilitating patent applications for inventors and monitoring competitors' developments. In addition to this role, Vincent has been a part-time teacher in organic and mineral chemistry and physics at Ecole professionnelle Fribourg since September 2010. Prior experience includes serving as IP manager at ILFORD Imaging Switzerland GmbH from September 2009 to May 2013, where Vincent managed the company's patent portfolio and coordinated with external patent lawyers. Earlier roles included Senior PhD Chemist at ILFORD Imaging GmbH Switzerland, focusing on nanoporous media for ink-jet printing, and PhD Chemist at Ciba Specialty Chemicals, specializing in pigment technology. Vincent's educational background includes a PhD in Chemistry from Université de Fribourg and post-doctoral studies in colloidal chemistry at University of Duisburg-Essen and Université Louis Pasteur.
