Xavier Urbaneja, MBA, PhD has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Xavier started their career as a Research Assistant at the University of Geneva in 2006, where they worked until 2008. Following that, they joined ArisGen S.A. as an R&D Project Manager in 2008 and held the position until 2012.

In 2012, Xavier joined SICPA, where they have held multiple positions over the years. Xavier started as a Manager in R&D and Production, a role they held until 2018. From 2018 to the present, they served as a Senior Manager, responsible for GTM Strategy, Product Portfolio, and Technical Sales. In 2022, they took on new responsibilities as the Director of Business Development and the Head of Brand Protection Market at SICPA.

Xavier's educational background includes an MBA and a PhD degree.

Xavier Urbaneja, MBA, PhD has an extensive education history. Xavier began their academic journey at the Universitat de Barcelona, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from 1995 to 2000. Following this, they pursued a Master's Degree in Organic Chemistry at ICMAB-CSIC from 2000 to 2001.

Continuing their academic pursuits, Xavier Urbaneja went on to complete a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry at the Universitat de Barcelona from 2002 to 2006. This advanced degree further solidified their expertise in the field.

In 2014, Xavier Urbaneja attended EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) and completed an Executive MBA in the Management of Technology program, further enhancing their management and leadership skills. Additionally, they also completed a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Doing Business in Asia from EPFL in 2015.

To expand their knowledge beyond their scientific background, Xavier attended Product Focus in the UK in 2019, where they pursued a Product Management for Technology-based Products program. Finally, in 2020, they engaged in the Strategic Thinking Program at IMD, focusing on honing their strategic thinking abilities.
