Julia Harris

Julia Harris has a diverse and extensive work experience. Julia is currently a Managing Director & Head of Higher Education at Siebert Williams Shank, a position they have held since May 2022. Previously, Julia served as the President of Public Alternative Advisors, LLC from 2016 to 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Partner & Managing Director at Public Financial Management from 2011 to 2014 and as a Managing Director at Scott Balice Strategies from 2004 to 2011. Julia also has experience as a Senior Analyst at Moody's Investors Service from 2002 to 2003, as well as a Senior Associate at Goldman Sachs from 1999 to 2002 and an Associate at Banc One Capital Markets from 1997 to 1999. Julia started their career as an Assistant Director of Capital Improvements at the Office of Budget and Management, City of Chicago from 1994 to 1997 and worked as a Financial Analyst at Coopers & Lybrand from 1990 to 1992.

Julia Harris earned a Master of Public Policy with dual concentrations in Non-Profit Management and Social Policy from Harvard Kennedy School between 1992 and 1994. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science degree in International Relations from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) from 1989 to 1990. Julia started their higher education journey by completing their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 1985 to 1989.
