Joshua Elder possesses extensive experience in grantmaking and strategic initiatives. Serving as Vice President and Head of Grantmaking at Siegel Family Endowment from March 2020 to January 2023, Joshua led strategic planning efforts. Prior experience includes a role as Director and Head of Grantmaking at Council on Foundations in 2021, and serving as Career Pathways Fellow at CSforALL from January 2018 to March 2020, where Joshua held the position of Director, Strategic Initiatives and previously worked as Senior Project Manager. Joshua's earlier experience includes Project Manager for the New York City Teaching Academies at the NYC Department of Education and co-founding Nova Pioneer, serving as Chief Academic Officer. Currently pursuing a Doctor of Education degree in Leadership and Innovation at New York University, Joshua also holds a Master of Public Administration in Urban and Social Policy from Columbia University.
