David Souza Mattos

David Souza Mattos is an experienced maritime engineer currently serving as a 2nd Engineer on Siem Helix 1 with Siem Offshore since September 2022. Prior positions include Engine Room Supervisor at MODEC, Inc. for the FPSO Fluminense from March 2018 to September 2022, and various engineering roles at Odebrecht Óleo e Gás, Pacific Drilling, Teekay Corporation, Bravante & Associates Inc., and Transpetro. David has completed advanced training at GIAGA and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nautical Sciences with a focus on machinery from EFOMM, along with educational credentials from Cederj.
