Amol Desai

Amol Desai is a seasoned professional in power system protection engineering with extensive experience spanning over two decades. Currently serving as a Senior Power System Protection Engineer and Commissioning Co-Ordinator at Siemens Energy since July 2020, Amol focuses on providing technical support for project engineering, optimizing design solutions, and enhancing sales strategies during the pre-bid phase. Previously at Siemens from March 2004 to June 2020, Amol held multiple roles including Manager – Execution and Testing for Control, Protection & Automation Systems, where responsibilities involved leading testing teams and supporting application engineering. Amol's career began with roles at Reliance Energy and Gujarat Power Energy Corporation, specializing in testing and commissioning of substation equipment and protection systems. Amol holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from the University of Mumbai and a diploma in Electrical Engineering from Government Polytechnic Kolhapur.
