Lucas de Kraker is a highly experienced engineering professional specializing in structural analysis and engineering for the aerospace and wind energy sectors. Currently serving as Lead Engineer at Siemens Gamesa since November 2016, Lucas focuses on offshore wind turbine tower structures. Prior to this role, Lucas worked as a Lead FEA Engineer at Brunel, where involvement included placements at Siemens in the renewable energy sector. From September 2007 to March 2016, Lucas held multiple roles at Atkins, including Senior Stress Engineer and Team Leader, leading teams on structural analyses for prominent aerospace clients such as Airbus and B/E Aerospace. Lucas's engineering career commenced at Airbus from October 2000 to July 2007, participating in the A380 Static Test Program and development. Lucas holds a Master of Science in Aeronautics from Delft University of Technology and completed secondary education at Ignatius Gymnasium Amsterdam.
