Philip Mewes

Philip Mewes has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Philip has been working at Siemens Healthineers since 2012, starting as a Project Lead Innovation and progressing to become Global head of R&D AI Rad Companion. In this role, they oversee the development of AI-powered solutions for medical image interpretation. Prior to Siemens Healthineers, Philip worked as a Project Lead Vice President at Sonnenenergie für Westafrika e.V. and as a PhD student at Siemens Healthcare. Philip also pursued a Cand. PhD at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and held a role as a Cand. M.Sc. at Philips. Additionally, they gained experience as an Intern at Procter & Gamble and worked as a Cand. Dipl.-Ing. at Harvard Medical School.

Philip Mewes obtained a Ph.D. in Computer Science AI from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg from 2008 to 2012. Prior to that, they received a Master of Science (M.Sc., DEA) in Elec. from Pierre and Marie Curie University between 2007 and 2008. Philip's undergraduate degree is a DFHI/ISFATES in Elec. from Université de Metz, which they completed from 2003 to 2007. In 2019, they also obtained a certification in "Strategy in the Age of Digital Disruption" from INSEAD.
