Sai Rapaka

Sai Rapaka is a Senior AI Expert at Siemens Healthineers with a comprehensive background in artificial intelligence and machine learning applications within healthcare. Since August 2015, Sai has led the development and validation of deep learning models for various healthcare applications, including the award-winning AI Rad Companion platform. Previous roles include Head of Strategy for AI and Digital Innovation and Senior Staff Scientist, where strategic priorities and high-impact data science initiatives were identified and developed. Prior to Siemens, Sai worked at Siemens Corporate Technology, leading innovative projects in hemodynamic modeling and contributing to numerous patent applications, and served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Los Alamos National Laboratory focusing on geomechanical modeling. Sai holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University and both a B.Tech and M.Tech in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras.
