Steve Blacker

Steve Blacker is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in the medical technology sector. Currently serving as R&D Director for Advanced Development at Siemens Healthineers since August 2022, Steve also holds a long-term role as an R&D Fellow and Principal Engineer at Corindus Vascular Robotics since April 2011. Previously, Steve was a Principal Engineer at Viacor, Inc., where significant contributions included the development of a 7-Fr implantable catheter for treating ischemic mitral valve regurgitation, utilized in a clinical trial. Additional experience includes positions as a Development Engineer at Philips Medical Systems and as a Manufacturing Development Engineer at Hewlett-Packard. Steve earned a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
