Mike Phillips

Mike Phillips has extensive experience in software engineering and management within the simulation domain. Currently serving as a Software Engineer Manager at Siemens since April 2021, Mike oversees the Physics Based Simulation team, having previously been promoted from Lead Software Engineer in March 2019. Prior to joining Siemens, Mike worked at TASS International as a Software Engineer and Ray-Tracing Domain Expert, contributing to the development of ray-tracing technologies. Mike's academic background includes research roles at the University of Vienna and Simon Fraser University, focusing on global illumination and rendering methods, along with a research internship at NVIDIA. Mike holds a MSc in Computer Science from the University of Otago and completed undergraduate studies at the University of Calgary.
