Elaine Phelan

Elaine Phelan is an accomplished accounting professional with extensive experience in academia and practice. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Accounting and Tax Specialist at Siena College since July 2010, Elaine is dedicated to teaching Federal tax law to both undergraduate and graduate business students. In addition to teaching, Elaine coordinates the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, providing students with real-world tax experience while serving the community. As a CPA and owner of Elaine M. Phelan CPA, Elaine specializes in tax and accounting services for private sector businesses and high net worth individuals. Prior to these roles, Elaine held positions as an Assistant Professor at The Sage Colleges and as an Audit Manager at PwC, where significant audit engagements for diverse clients were managed. Elaine earned an MS in Accounting from the University at Albany and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Siena University.
