W.D.C.H Jayatunga

W.D.C.H Jayatunga is the current CEO at Sierra Cables PLC. Before this, they held various finance-related positions at different companies.

W.D.C.H started their career at Hatton National Bank PLC in 1997, where they worked in Central Accounts and Corporate Finance. In 2003, they moved to Ernst & Young as a Senior Accountant. The following year, they took on the role of Manager Financial Reporting at Bharti Airtel.

In 2010, Jayatunga joined Sierra Construction (Pvt) Ltd as their Finance Manager. W.D.C.H was promoted to General Manager of Finance and Administration in 2011, and also became their Chief Financial Officer for Civil, Property Development, and Electrical Engineering. W.D.C.H held these positions until 2018.

During their time at Sierra Construction, Jayatunga also worked as the Chief Financial Officer for SP Sierra JV, a joint venture between Sierra Construction and Shapoorji Pallonji Lanka. W.D.C.H held this position from 2013 to 2018.

In 2018, Jayatunga was appointed as the CEO of Sierra Cables PLC, where they continue to work today.

After completing high school at Ananda College, Colombo 10, W.D.C.H Jayatunga pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration at the University of Colombo. W.D.C.H then completed an associates degree at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and went on to complete a Master of Business Administration at the University of Colombo. W.D.C.H is also a qualified CPA from Australia and a CGMA from the American Institute of CPAs.
