Liz Reed

Donor Services Assistant at Sierra Club BC

Liz is Sierra Club BC’s donor services assistant. She is a lifelong activist, environmentalist, naturalist, musician, and mother of two.

Born in Victoria, Liz spent her early childhood in Fort McMurray, Alberta, in the beauty of the boreal forest. She watched and learned as her mother founded the Fort McMurray Environmental Association in the 1980s and fought hard to protect the health of the land and people from the damage done by industry.

Back in Victoria as a teen, she began back-country hiking and developed an abiding love for the ancient rainforests, alpine meadows, and Garry Oak ecosystems on Vancouver Island.

She earned her BA in anthropology and environmental studies from the University of Victoria and has worked as a health care assistant, child care worker, and café-owner before beginning her current position as donor services assistant with Sierra Club BC.

Liz is lovingly dedicated to her two little boys and is a committed ally and activist for social and environmental justice. She is thrilled to be able to help Sierra Club BC’s donors with all their questions and concerns.
