Daniel Prull, PhD has a diverse work experience in the environmental and energy sectors. Daniel currently serves as the Deputy Director of Research, Strategy and Analysis at Sierra Club, where they previously held the role of Acting Director of Research and Analysis. In these positions, they led research and analysis to set clean energy, greenhouse gas, air pollution, and environmental justice targets for multiple energy sector campaigns. Daniel managed a distributed team of analysts across various programs. Before joining Sierra Club, Daniel worked at Vulcan Inc. as the Microgrid Development Lead and at Virgin USA as the Co-Founder and Chief Technical Officer of Virgin Renew. At Virgin Renew, they created cost-optimized power system designs for various properties and clients. Overall, Daniel brings extensive expertise in energy analysis and strategy to their roles.

Daniel Prull, PhD, obtained their B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2003. Daniel then went on to earn their M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, from 2003 to 2005. Lastly, they completed their Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with a Designated Emphasis in Energy Science and Technology at the University of California, Berkeley, from 2005 to 2008.
