David Whitehead

David Whitehead currently serves as the DC Chapter Director for the Sierra Club, where the focus is on organizing volunteers and community leaders to achieve carbon neutrality in Washington, DC by 2045. Previously, as the Director of Political Leadership Programs at CASA IN ACTION, David successfully trained over 270 emerging immigrant political leaders and developed bilingual programming. Other notable roles include serving as Senior Advisor for a successful campaign for a DC Board of Education candidate, Field Director for the DC Mayor campaign, and Director of Organizing Strategy for Leadership for Educational Equity. David's extensive background in organizing and advocacy is complemented by teaching experience and advanced degrees in education and finance.
