Katherine Regalado

Katherine 'Katty' Regalado currently serves as the Inspiring Connections Outdoors Chicago Coordinator for the Sierra Club since May 2017 and as the Program and Event Coordinator (Cultural Liaison) at the Chicago Park District since November 2016. With prior experience as a LEAF Mentor at The Nature Conservancy and as an intern supervisor at Sacred Keepers Sustainability Lab, Katherine has demonstrated a commitment to youth development and environmental education. Katherine's background also includes a role as Youth Program Manager at Faith in Place, where responsibilities encompassed program management and curriculum design in environmental stewardship. Katherine completed a Master’s degree in Environmental Education from the Merry Lea Environmental Learning Center of Goshen College, holds an Indigenous Permaculture Certificate from the Sustainable Development Institute at the College of Menominee Nation, and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Latin American & Latino Studies from the University of Illinois Chicago.
