Luis Miranda

Luis Miranda serves as the Acting Chapter Director at Sierra Club since February 2021, previously holding positions such as Senior Field Organizer and Senior Organizing Representative within the Beyond Coal Campaign. Prior to this role, Miranda was an Adjunct Professor at Westminster College and the Director of Grassroots Capacity Building at United Way of Salt Lake, where responsibilities included leading research and organizing fellowship cycles and designing a Salesforce CRM database. A background in international peace studies is supported by a Master's degree from the University of Notre Dame and a Master’s degree from the London School of Economics. Miranda has also held various positions across organizations, contributing to peace initiatives and grassroots movements, including significant roles in the Presidencia de la Republica de Colombia and the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies.
