Reid Robinson

Reid Robinson is the current CEO at Sierra Gold Nurseries. Reid has been with the company since March 2014, first as Vice President and then as Acclimitization/Greenhouse Grower. Prior to Sierra Gold Nurseries, they were with UC Davis Plant Sciences as a Staff Research Associate in the Walnut Breeding Program. In this role, they coordinated activities related to both scion and rootstock walnut breeding, with the goal of developing genotypes with desirable traits. This required knowledge of farming methods, greenhouse management and laboratory procedures. Reid bred, propagated and managed thousands of individual genotypes and guided them through a stringent evaluation process, in consultation with other experts in the fields, to produce walnut cultivars of value to the industry.

Reid Robinson has a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Horticulture from the University of California, Davis.
