Tiare Summerhays is a Program Associate on the Health Equity and Access team at the Sierra Health Foundation, focusing on the Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Access Points project, which aims to combat the opioid and substance use epidemic in California. Prior to this role, Tiare served as a Program Assistant, supporting local and state initiatives such as the California Mortgage Relief Program. Tiare's experience also includes teaching English to limited English proficient speakers at Asian Resources and working as an English Second Language Teacher at FTK Dongtan, where Tiare engaged in production activities for school events. Tiare began professional development as a Student Trainee with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, where responsibilities included updating licensing agreements. Tiare holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government and International Relations from California State University-Sacramento and also studied Political Science at Yonsei University.
