Simon Choccelahua Llacctahuaman currently serves as a Shaft Project Engineer at Sierra Metals- Sociedad Minera Corona, where responsibilities include overseeing the construction of the Yauricocha shaft, involving 500 meters of deepening, loading pocket excavation, winch chamber construction, and installation of a production winch. Simon has successfully led strategies for developing a 460-meter Alimak shaft system with an emphasis on safety, achieving a zero-accident record. Prior to this role, Simon worked as a Resident Engineer at Mining Solutions - MISOL from June 2016 to December 2020. Simon holds a degree in Mining Engineering from Universidad Nacional del Centro del Perú, obtained in December 2010.
