John Vernon

John Vernon is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in structural engineering and field operations. Currently serving as a Principal Structural Engineer and Engineering Manager at Sierra Space since April 2021, John previously held the position of Structural Engineer at Sierra Nevada Corporation from February 2017 to April 2021. Prior experience as a Field Engineer at Schlumberger from July 2014 to September 2016 involved developing unconventional oil and gas wells in the Southern United States and Saudi Arabia, overseeing reservoir stimulation and fracturing operations, and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations. John holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland, obtained in 2014.
