Kylie Cooper is a Flight Operations - Cargo/Payload Integration Engineer at Sierra Space since April 2024. With a strong background in aerospace and mechanical engineering from the University of California, Davis, Kylie has held various research and engineering roles, including Lead Researcher & Project Manager for NASA-funded projects focused on CubeSat technology. Experience includes internships at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center and Johnson Space Center, engaging in attitude control systems development, thermal analysis, and extensive mission operations. As an ADCS Lead Engineer at Space and Satellite Systems, Kylie supervised undergraduate teams in developing low-cost attitude determination systems. Innovations include repurposing hard drives for use as CubeSat reaction wheels, contributing significantly to advancing aerospace engineering technology.
