Leanne Thompson

Leanne Thompson is an experienced systems engineer and designer with a strong background in both hardgoods and softgoods. Currently serving as the Systems Engineer - Softgoods Certification Lead at Sierra Space since August 2022, Leanne plays a crucial role in the softgoods certification team for the LIFE habitat on the Orbital Reef commercial space station, ensuring compliance with NASA guidelines. Previous roles include Designer at Big Agnes Inc, Design Engineer at Klugonyx Group, and multiple positions at Blue Ice, where Leanne was involved in advanced product development and design. With additional experience in engineering roles at Structural Components, Black Diamond Equipment, and Sierra Nevada Corporation, Leanne combines expertise in mechanical engineering and design, supported by a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines.
