Matt Hurr

Matt Hurr, PE, is a seasoned mechanical engineer with significant experience in the aerospace and engineering sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Mechanical Engineer and Supervisor at Sierra Space since December 2016, Hurr leads the design and manufacturing efforts for the Dream Chaser Air Revitalization System. Previous experience includes a role as a Senior Mechanical Engineer and Team Supervisor at KJWW Engineering Consultants from February 2008 to November 2016, and internships at GE in 2006, focusing on FAA certification testing and aircraft engine fuel systems, and at Borg Warner Automotive in 2005, gaining insights into automation and quality control processes. Hurr holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, completed in 2007.
