Nick Hahn

Nick Hahn is a highly experienced engineering professional currently serving as a Senior Engineering Manager for Flight Software at Sierra Space since April 2021. In this role, Nick leads a team of over 50 engineers across seven scrum teams, focusing on the development and verification of flight computer software that adheres to NASA NPR7150 Class A Safety Critical standards, utilizing C and C++. Previously, Nick held positions as a Software Manager for Software Tools and Senior System Engineer at Sierra Space, where responsibilities included overseeing engineering teams and leading the development of communications processor software and hardware for the Dream Chaser project. Nick's earlier experience includes roles at Sierra Nevada Corporation and Rolls-Royce, with a solid educational foundation comprising a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech and currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Space Systems Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University.
