Trevor Thunell

Trevor Thunell is a highly experienced engineering professional currently serving as the Director of Build & Manufacturing Engineering for Sierra Space since December 2022, focusing on the Dream Chaser program. Prior to this role, Trevor held key positions at Relativity Space, including Manager of Structures Manufacturing Engineering and Lead Mechanical Engineer, where leadership was provided for the construction of the Terran 1 and Terran R 3D-printed structures. Trevor's experience also includes a significant tenure at SpaceX as a Senior Structures Manufacturing Engineer, contributing to the development of various systems for the Falcon 9 Rocket, Dragon 2, and Starship programs. Earlier career milestones include roles at Troyer Race Cars, United Technologies, and Ramar-Hall, showcasing expertise in project management, product design, and manufacturing processes. Trevor holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the Rochester Institute of Technology and an Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Monroe Community College.
