Tyler Sandman

Tyler Sandman is a skilled software engineer currently employed at Sierra Space since September 2021. Prior experience includes a role as a GN&C Software Engineer at Raytheon from June 2017 to August 2021 and a brief tenure as a Flight Reliability Intern at SpaceX in late 2015. Tyler's work at SpaceX involved human error analysis, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, and the creation of safety analysis models for the Crew Dragon vehicle. Additionally, Tyler contributed to the Orion program as a Guidance, Navigation & Control Intern at Stinger Ghaffarian Technologies, developing fault injection tools and simulating flight scenarios. Early internship experience includes an engineering position at the Texas Department of Transportation. Tyler holds a degree in Aerospace Engineering from Texas A&M University, completed in 2016.
