Bastien Ponchon

Bastien Ponchon has a strong background in data engineering and IT architecture. Bastien worked as a Lead Data Engineer at Sicara from January 2021 to September 2022 and as a Data Engineer / Data Scientist from February 2019 to January 2021. At MINES ParisTech, they served as a Research intern from April 2018 to December 2018, where they studied the interactions of Deep Learning and Mathematical Morphology and won the best Student Paper Award at ISMM 2019. In addition, they gained experience as a Consultant intern in IT & Data Architecture at Wavestone from February 2017 to August 2017, focusing on recommender systems and the supervision of a company's cloud strategy. Bastien began their career as an intern at Traruwe in July 2015. Currently, they are working as an Infrastructure/DevOps Engineer at Sifflet.

In 2012-2014, Bastien attended Lycée La Martinière Monplaisir where they pursued a Classe Préparatoire aux Grandes Ecoles d'Ingénieurs, specializing in MPSI-MP* (Mathematics and Physics) with a Computer Science Option.

From 2014-2017, they attended Télécom Paris and obtained a Master's degree in engineering with a focus on Information Technology.

In 2015-2016, Bastien pursued a Master's degree in engineering at EURECOM, specializing in Data Science and Engineering (Big Data).

During 2016-2017, Bastien participated in an Erasmus program at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, specializing in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.

Lastly, in 2017-2018, Bastien pursued a Master's degree in Mathematics, Computer Vision and Machine Learning at École Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay.
