Nicolas Jean

Nicolas Jean has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Nicolas is currently working as a Senior Back-End Developer at Sifflet since October 2022. Previously, Nicolas worked at Sicara from October 2017 to October 2022, initially as a Data Engineer and later as a Lead Data Engineer. Nicolas'sresponsibilities at Sicara included full-stack development on data engineering projects, utilizing technologies such as AWS, Python, JavaScript, React, Node.js, Spark, Hive, and Postgresql. Prior to Sicara, Nicolas worked at Withings from November 2013 to September 2017 as a Software Engineer, focusing on embedded software development for the Withings Home camera. Nicolas implemented a WebRTC stack for peer-to-peer streaming. Nicolas also gained experience at Schlumberger as an Engineering Intern from May 2013 to October 2013, where they contributed to the improvement of an embedded software for a sensor used in oil well measurement tools. Furthermore, they played a role in proposing signal processing enhancements and implemented a quantitative evaluation method for the sensor's overall performance. Before that, Nicolas had a research internship at CEA from September 2011 to March 2012, where they worked on the development of an embedded sensor interface for collaborative robotics, resulting in a functional prototype.

Nicolas Jean completed their Engineer's Degree from CentraleSupélec from 2009 to 2013. Nicolas also attended The Philipp University of Marburg in 2012, where they studied Mathematics and Computer Science. Prior to that, they attended Lycée Saint Louis in 2008 and 2009. In terms of additional certifications, Nicolas obtained a Machine Learning certificate from Stanford University through a Coursera Course in March 2017. Nicolas also received certifications in AWS, including AWS Certified Big Data - Specialty in June 2020 and AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate in February 2019.
