Prithayan Barua

Prithayan Barua is a Staff Compiler Engineer at SiFive since February 2021, specializing in compiler opportunities for heterogeneous architectures. Prior to this role, Prithayan served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Georgia Institute of Technology from August 2016 to February 2021, focusing on projects such as automatic CPU-GPU memory management and optimizations for various compilation tools. Experience includes internships at AMD, Intel Corporation, Samsung Electronics, and past roles at NVIDIA and Synopsys, contributing to GPU compilers and high-level synthesis tools. Prithayan holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology, as well as a Master's degree from the Indian Institute of Science and a Bachelor's degree from Haldia Institute of Technology.
