Tushar Sondhi

Tushar Sondhi is a skilled software systems development engineer currently working at SiFive since July 2022, focusing on platform engineering with Firesim. Previously, Tushar contributed to platform architecture and SoC performance modeling at Apple in summer 2021. Tushar's academic background includes a role as a research assistant at UC Berkeley EECS, where contributions involved validating memory timing models in FireSim and researching low-latency compression algorithms for NoC memory architectures. Tushar also developed a strided memory test compatible with FireSim and created Python scripts for hardware development workflows. Earlier experience includes an undergraduate research apprenticeship at UC Berkeley, where Tushar enhanced cloud detection algorithms and conducted data analysis, alongside work as an associate editor at Caravan Travel & Style Magazine. Tushar holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, earned in 2022.
