Michelle James

Michelle James, CMP, has extensive experience in event planning and management, currently serving as Managing Director of Conferences, Events & Professional Societies at SIFMA since October 2011. In this role, Michelle is a senior event planner and relationship manager for a leading financial services trade association. Previously, Michelle held several positions at the International Council of Shopping Centers from April 2008 to November 2011, culminating in the role of Vice President, where responsibilities included supervising a planning team and managing significant budgets. Prior experience includes roles at Goldman Sachs, the American Association of Advertising Agencies, and the Cleveland Clinic, showcasing a strong background in organizing large-scale meetings and events. Michelle holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Government from Elon University.
