Janne Salminen

Janne Salminen has a long history of work experience in the tech industry, beginning in 2000 when they were a Business Analyst for Nokia Mobile Phones. In 2003, they moved to Nokia Multimedia as Manager of Strategy and Business Development, where they chaired the Nokia Research Center programs. In 2004, they joined Nokia as Director, Head of Products, and then held various roles including Head of Strategy, Media and Games, Head of Location Based Services and Mobile Advertising, North and South America, Head of Location Based Services, North America, Head of Strategic Product Planning, and Head of Product Strategy & Planning, S60 Platform/Symbian. In 2011, they joined Microsoft as Director, Global Head of Strategy and Corporate Development for 3rd Party Ecosystem Development, Developer Relations, Partnering & App Development, and App Store activities, and was a member of the Business Unit Leadership Team and the Bridge Entrepreneurs Board. In 2012, they began their career as an Angel Investor and Start-up Advisor, and in 2015 they co-founded Sift, which was awarded Google Play's "Best of 2018" Winner.

Janne Salminen obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Economics from Aalto University between 1997 and 2001, with a focus on Strategy, Finance, Organization and Management, IT, Economics, and Marketing. In 2007, Janne Salminen completed a Business Strategies program from the London Business School.
