Kunal Muchhala

Kunal Muchhala has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Kunal is currently working as a Lead Product Manager at Sift. Prior to this, they held the position of Staff Product Manager at Box, where they successfully improved the reliability and usability of the company's file system. Additionally, they modernized the core infrastructure by implementing microservices and adopting Google Cloud Platform.

Before their role at Box, Kunal served as a Technical Product Manager at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where they empowered sales and marketing teams with personalized insights and formed strategic partnerships to optimize customer compute spend. Kunal also worked as a Product Manager at VMware, where they led cross-functional teams and implemented Agile CI/CD methodologies, resulting in improved efficiency and faster delivery. During their time at VMware, they achieved significant customer engagement and revenue generation milestones.

Kunal's earlier experiences include working as a Technical Consultant and Global SaaS Administrator at VMware AirWatch, where they managed servers and implemented process improvements. Kunal first obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona in 2009. Prior to that, they attended JAI HIND COLLEGE, MUMBAI from 2003 to 2005, where they studied Science. Kunal completed their schooling at Greenlawns High School, Mumbai from 1990 to 2003.

In 2010, Kunal pursued a Master of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, which they completed in 2011.

Following their formal education, Kunal obtained various certifications to enhance their professional skills. Notable certifications include the Pragmatic Marketing Professional - Level III from Pragmatic Marketing in 2016, and the Enterprise Mobility Associate from VMware AirWatch in 2013. Additionally, they earned certifications in AI Product Management from Udacity in 2020 and in Robotics Software Engineering, also from Udacity, in 2019.

Moreover, Kunal has acquired certifications in different areas such as Product Manifesto from Product School in 2021 and Goethe-Zertifikate A1 from Goethe-Institut Max Mueller Bhavan, Mumbai in 2010.
