Prior to this, they worked as the Director and Business Development at the Chowdy Organization, a lifestyle brand promoting mental health. At Chowdy, Andrew oversaw business development and contributed a portion of sales and profits to not-for-profit organizations supporting mental health.
Before their time at Chowdy, Andrew was the Co-Founder and involved in new business development at ItemMaster, a company providing ingredient and nutritional product data to grocery retailers, consumer product companies, and more. ItemMaster was eventually sold to Syndigo, LLC.
Andrew's extensive experience in the online grocery industry includes their role as the Co-Founder, President, CEO, and Chairman of Peapod, the first online grocery and dedicated e-commerce company. Andrew played a crucial role in Peapod's growth and success, leading the company to go public in 1997 and eventually selling it to Ahold, Inc.
In addition to their entrepreneurial ventures, Andrew has also held positions at Kraft Foods and Procter & Gamble. At Kraft Foods, they started as an Assistant Brand Manager and worked their way up to Manager of Strategy & Acquisitions after holding various roles within the company. At Procter & Gamble, they began as a Brand Assistant and was later promoted to Associate Brand Manager.
Andrew's career began with the co-founding of Parkinson Products, Inc. alongside their brother. They designed and sold a device called the Keg Karrier, which made it easier to carry beer kegs.
Prior to their professional career, Andrew was a member of the U.S. Boardsailing Team, training for the 1988 Summer Olympics and competing internationally.
